Baltics — A Launchpad for Attacks on Russia? General Accuses NATO, Blood in St. Petersburg, and Narva Suddenly Loses Connection
Where Will the Next Drone Fall — Pskov or Narva?

August 3, morning. A drone was shot down in the sky over Pskov. In Saint Petersburg, an explosion occurred from a fallen UAV, and a woman was injured and bleeding. Almost simultaneously, mobile internet disappeared in the border city of Narva. A few hours later, Hero of Russia and Major General of Aviation Sergey Lipovoy made a statement: the drones were launched from the territory of the Baltic countries.

“Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania — these are launch pads for attacks on Russia. From Estonian territory, strikes on Kaliningrad and Pskov are possible. The threat is real,” Lipovoy said in an interview with NEWS.ru.

According to official data, a woman was injured as a result of debris from the downed drone falling in Saint Petersburg.

The governor of Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, reported that in the morning air defense shot down a drone near the village of Neelovo. No threats to infrastructure facilities were recorded. It should be noted that the area is close to the border with Estonia.

Almost simultaneously with the attack, mobile internet disruptions were recorded in Narva (a city on the border with Russia). The outages lasted about 40 minutes, and the reasons for the disruption have not been officially explained.

Earlier, during the attack on Saint Petersburg in June, users of the Telegram channel Narva News also widely reported similar communication failures.

Russian military officials have accused NATO countries of assisting attacks on Russian territory more than once. Previously, Poland was mentioned; now it is the Baltics. Direct accusations of drone launches from Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania are being made for the first time.

None of the official representatives of the Baltic countries or NATO have yet commented on the general’s statement.

If it is confirmed that the drones were indeed launched from NATO territory, the situation will enter a new phase. Russia has previously promised a “harsh asymmetric response” to any attacks originating from alliance territory.
