Tesla registers firm in Tallinn and seeks employees
No more need to travel to Helsinki.

The American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla registered a subsidiary, Tesla Estonia OÜ, on December 16, 2025, with a share capital of €2,500 and immediately posted vacancies for a store manager and a sales advisor in Tallinn – the first step toward an official entry into the Estonian automotive market after a long absence of representation.

The owner is the Netherlands-registered Tesla International B.V.; the board includes Kim Gaba Jensen, Stephan William Werkman, and David John Feinstein. The registered address is Rotermanni 6, Tallinn.

According to ERR, Tesla's official website has posted full-time vacancies: a store manager who will be responsible for operations in the region, and a sales advisor who will assist customers with vehicle purchases. The place of work is listed as Tallinn.

In 2025, 876 new electric vehicles were registered in Estonia compared to 1,325 in 2024, a 34% decrease due to a general market contraction; however, electric vehicles accounted for approximately 17.3% of the market share for the period of January–August 2025 (data from EV Volumes). The Tesla Model Y and Model 3 remain among the most frequently registered models in Estonia.

At the EU level, the share of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in new car registrations was 15.6% for the first half of 2025, according to ACEA data. Total new car registrations in the EU fell by 1.9% during the same period.

The success of Tesla's launch model in neighboring Lithuania could serve as a guide: Lithuanian Tesla first registered a local company, then opened a pop-up store a month later and a service center within a few months. A similar timeline in Estonia and Latvia could lead to the appearance of official service and sales centers as early as the first half of 2026.

Prior to the registration of Tesla Estonia, the nearest official Tesla representations were located in Finland and Lithuania. This meant that owners in Estonia were forced to seek service abroad.

In neighboring Latvia, Tesla Latvia SIA was also officially registered on November 7, 2025. Despite the relatively small markets in both countries, the Tesla Model 3 leads electric vehicle registrations in Latvia, while the Model Y and Model 3 dominate in Estonia as well.

The registration of Tesla Estonia OÜ with a clear management structure and the publication of job openings is a documented fact marking the beginning of Tesla's official presence in the Estonian market after a multi-year absence of representation, serving as a preparatory stage for the full launch of electric vehicle sales and service in the region.
