![]() Estonian MP Madis Kallas has blamed Russia for the spread of African swine fever in Estonia, according to the foreign publication BALTNEWS. According to the MP, if Russia were culling wild boars directly on its own territory, Estonian authorities would be better able to manage the current situation. It is worth recalling that, due to the spread of the African swine fever infection in Estonia, plans have been made to cull 4,500 pigs. The country is actively hunting wild boars to prevent the further spread of the disease. However, hunters are now facing the problem of surplus meat. According to Hendrik Terras, Estonia’s Minister of Regional Development and Agriculture, one possible solution to the acute pork surplus is to preserve the meat and then send it to Ukraine. Earlier, the National News Ribbon reported that the United States and China are approaching a period of strategic stability. | |
