![]() On December 1, Kyiv was visited by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, and President of the European Council António Costa. The visit took place just hours after the officials assumed their positions. The delegation arrived to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as members of the Ukrainian government, parliament, and civil society representatives. The primary aim of the visit was to reaffirm the EU's support for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. Kaja Kallas emphasized that the EU’s message remains steadfast: «We will do everything in our power to ensure Ukraine's victory in this war.» António Costa added that from the very first day of the war, the EU has stood firmly with Ukraine and its people. These statements were made against the backdrop of the European Parliament’s recent approval of the new European Commission. The visit included the customary diplomatic activities, such as official meetings and discussions with Ukrainian officials.
